Description

INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

The #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Ends with Us—whose writing is “emotionally wrenching and utterly original” (Sara Shepard, New York Times bestselling author of the Pretty Little Liars series)—delivers a tour de force novel about a troubled marriage and the one old forgotten promise that might be able to save it.

Quinn and Graham’s perfect love is threatened by their imperfect marriage. The memories, mistakes, and secrets that they have built up over the years are now tearing them apart. The one thing that could save them might also be the very thing that pushes their marriage beyond the point of repair.

All Your Perfects is a profound novel about a damaged couple whose potential future hinges on promises made in the past. This is a heartbreaking page-turner that asks: Can a resounding love with a perfect beginning survive a lifetime between two imperfect people?

So normally I don’t write reviews, but I feel like I had to for this one. It was such a hard book to put down and even when I did, I was constantly thinking about it. I was definitely taken on a rollercoaster of emotions, but in the best way possible. If you are looking for a good love story, I would highly recommend this one!

Raw, gut-wrenching, hopeful, captivating, beautiful. Quinn and Graham drew me into their journey. From the incredibly awkward way they initially meet, they find a way to handle one of the most horrible days of both of their lives with dignity and pride. To their actual first date where I felt like these two people were supposed to meet. They have a natural connection that allows them to be themselves and it seemed like this was the first time that either of them had found that in a relationship. The joy they find together leads to a beautiful marriage which becomes a journey of true love that must weather the storms to see how firm a foundation their marriage truly has. I am in awe of Quinn as she faces one of the toughest issues for a woman, the inability to get pregnant. Of course, over time this causes a strain on their marriage even as their love for each other doesn’t waver. But is love enough? There is an honesty to this journey that kept me enthralled and hoping that love will win in the end.

Colleen Hoover always speaks to my soul and All Your Perfects exceeded my expectations. I don't think I have enough words to express how amazing and extraordinary this book is. As I'm writing this review, my eyes are filled with tears because All Your Perfects is so powerful and I'm overwhelmed with emotion. This is one of the most honest and relatable books I've ever read. Ms. Hoover made sure that every single word and moment was relevant. All Your Perfects is the story of Graham and Quinn and their profound issues that led to struggles in their marriage. It's so emotional, real, raw and my heart broke for them. Graham and Quinn met in a unconventional way and Ms. Hoover does a fantastic job of demonstrating how their relationship developed, how they fell in love and their trials and tribulations throughout the years. They experience real life issues, romance, heartbreak, devastation and unconditional love. I cannot stop thinking about All Your Perfects as it will resonate with me for quite sometime. I encourage everyone to read it and it's without a doubt one of the BEST books I've read this year.

I have a huge love/hate relationship with CoHo's books and this book is the perfect example of why. All Your Perfects is a beautiful story that was completely unexpected. There's not a lot that can be said about this book that wouldn't completely spoil it. It will make you laugh and it will definitely make you cry but more than anything, it will make you believe that even in the worst of times, happiness can be found. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!!
  • Best ugly cry ever

If you read any of Colleen’s books, you know that a lot of them will make you ugly cry. Of corse I was reading in my car today on my lunch break and ugly crying pretty much the whole time. Yup I ugly cried. I actually had to go back to work with red eyes and smeared makeup and help customers. Yes I got a lot of weird looks. Okay so back to the book. Get a box of tissues. I mean a big box of tissues because you are gonna go through the whole thing. I’m not gonna spoil the story for you. If you know Colleen’s work you’ll know the story is awesome. And thanks for the twist at the end. Nope not gonna give it away but I should have seen it coming. All I can say is Colleen you better write a sequel to this one. I gotta see the stories line up. Thank you for making me ugly cry and can’t wait for the next story. P.S. if you haven’t read any of her work, I would start with some of her first stories and work your way to this one. I promise it’ll be worth it.

I could not enjoy this book because I could not get past my grave dislike of Quinn. During the ‘Now’ sections, I wanted to reach into the book and slap her!

Having an Imperfect marriage myself, this book was so emotional to read; but also so perfect. Prepare for tears and prepare for a book you won’t be able to put down.

I went into reading this story knowing absolutely nothing about it. Colleen was very tight lipped about not revealing anything which I appreciate. I got to say it’s difficult reading the emotional turmoil. In the end, it’s worth it. Colleen breaks up this emotional story into the now and then. The then helps ease you back into the emotional struggles one chapter at a time. I constantly compared my marriage to Graham and Quinn’s. I found similar behaviors, reactions, and actions. I was surprised how given different circumstances the same scenario happened to me. I’ve learned that marriage is a process and it has its ups and downs, but these circumstances shouldn’t define the individual. Only actions define a person. Couples can’t predict what life will throw at them, but they can process the situation as it occurs. That brings me to Graham and Quinn, a married couple, who set goals, made plans, and shared expectations with one another. No amount of planning can predict how each individual will react thru the different stages in life. There story is a testament to how they were tested. These characters are honest and raw with their emotions. We get a look at the foundation they built from the beginning and get to discover where the cracks formed. On so many levels I can relate to Quinn’s character not so much with her situation, but her sense of failure in other matters. Marriage takes work. Working through situations together is scary because it requires each individual to become vulnerable. Being vulnerable might seem like a weakness, yet it actually helps alleviate the doubts the other individual has by second guessing the other. Colleen’s method for resolving these issues was smart. So many of Colleen’s comments, in the form of advice, had me shaking my head in agreement. I thought to myself how does she know so much about my life? While my circumstances are different the outcome is the same. Graham and Quinn’s reactions and behavior were quite similar to my own situation. I have spent years going to marriage therapy and it has opened my eyes to so many issues, that it was a struggle to process all of them, so I took a break and when I returned months later I found a woman who focused on healing me. You just reaffirmed the steps I chose in my healing process with this story. I’ve been waiting for confirmation that the choices I made were right.
