When the only form of justice that counts is your own.

What should be a straightforward murder investigation for London DCI Nick Severance turns into something far more sinister. How far can he be pushed before he compromises his principles?

Why would an archaeological researcher just back from India be gunned down on a London street? That’s the question facing DCI Nick Severance as he investigates his latest murder case. When the answers threaten to destroy everything he cares about, he makes a choice that will change his life forever. Is there life after terror?

  • Very pedestrian

    By Greg Raven
Pedestrian prose, no sense of pace, and lots of filler ... which is a shame because the plot is actually not that bad. If you are desperate for something to read, you could do worse, but life is short ... aim higher if you have the chance.

Definitely fell in love with the characters so it was disturbing how quickly Lauren was murdered without a more detailed experience so the reader could really feel what happened to her without it being too terribly horrid. Guess I wanted more closure. Otherwise this amazing book is an excellent read!! KSW
  • Good almost to the end...

A disappointing ending to an almost alternative to Jack Reacher. Ending seemed rushed and contrived, but still a decent read. I did make it to the end.
